โฆ Synopsis
Columbian Chemicals' business raised DC Chemicals' share of the South Korean carbon black market to 64%. This is almost double the market share of its nearest rival, Degussa, which operates a plant at Incheon. The new scenario prompted an investigation by the Fair Trade Commission, South Korea's anti-trust authority, which has now made a preliminary ruling that DC Chemical must relinquish its stake in one of the three plants within 12 months. The company plans to appeal against the ruling.
