โœฆ Synopsis

We use properties of Day's norm on c 0 (}) to prove that, for every Eberlein compact space K, there exists a separately continuous symmetric mapping d: K_K ร„ R such that we have d(x, y)< d(x, x)+d( y, y) 2 for any two distinct points x and y of K. As a consequence, we have that every Eberlein compact space K can be embedded as a point-separating set in its own function space C(K) equipped with pointwise (or weak) topology; in the terminology of Arkhangel'skii, this means that every Eberlein compact space is self-dual.'' We consider whether every Eberlein compact space K can be embedded as a generating set in C(K) (equipped with the weak topology). We show that such an embedding exists for every uniformly Eberlein compact space. We also show that every Eberlein compact space can be embedded as a free generating set in some c 0 (}). These results are obtained as special cases of properties of V-paired Banach spaces,'' a notion generalizing the relation of a reflexive Banach space and its dual.

## Abstract We develop some parts of the theory of compact operators from the point of view of computable analysis. While computable compact operators on Hilbert spaces are easy to understand, it turns out that these operators on Banach spaces are harder to handle. Classically, the theory of compac

In this paper, a criterion for which the convex hull of is relatively compact is given when is a relatively compact subset of the space R p of fuzzy sets endowed with the Skorokhod topology. Also, some examples are given to illustrate the criterion.

In this paper, we give characterizations for the nonemptiness and compactness of the set of weakly efficient solutions of an unconstrained/constrained convex vector optimization problem with extended vector-valued functions in terms of the 0-coercivity of some scalar functions. Finally, we apply the
