Software finds new depth

Tex is a software package for capturing optical microscope images and displaying the full depth of an image in focus. This removes problems related to the small depth of focus of normal microscope objectives. The Alicona Imaging software also allows feature counting in two dimensions and measurement of lines, parallel lines, circles, and arc angles. Blue lasers size up particles

A particle size analyzer using laser diffraction technology has been launched by Microtrac. Bluewave uses the resolution, accuracy, and repeatability of blue laser diodes to enable high precision measurements of particle size, particularly particles in the submicron range.
