✦ Synopsis

A simple explicit recursive formula for the elements of thejrst column of Routh's array is presented. The use of this formula will eliminate the need for constructing the whole array.

In this paper we show that the test of Hurwitz property of a segment of polynomials (1! )p (s)# p (s), where 3[0,1], p (s) and p (s) are nth-degree polynomials of real coe$cients, can be achieved via the approach of constructing a fraction-free Routh array and using Sturm's theorem. This paper presents a new procedure for the construction of the root locus of a system. Since it is algorithmic in nature, a digital computer can best be used to obtain accurate and rapid answers. The method involves, using the matrix form of Routh's criterion; applying the invariance principle of t

## Abstract The self‐impedance and radiation properties of a first‐resonance CPW‐fed slot are characterized for possible use as an array element. It is shown that an interdigital capacitor in the center feed line of the CPW allows excellent control over the resonant resistance of the slot, and allo
