✦ Synopsis
This paper reports a continuation of some research which H. J. Lipkin, W. I. Weisberger, and I carried out at the Weizmann Institute, at the happy time when Amos de-Shalit graced that institution. The present work is offered as a modest memorial to a great humanist and a true son of his people, who brightened the lives of his friends and colleagues in Israel and in all the world.
A simple treatment of the algebra of the Euclidean group E3 is based on the introduction of a second group of rotations. Dirac's quantization of magnetic charge appears as the quantization of the generator of rotations about the axis connecting the electric and magnetic charges.
