The Hubbard-Onsager electrohydrodynarnic model is extended to exunine the influence of zlectrostriction on the mobilities of large ions in compressible polar solvents. We fiid that electrostriction leads to s@uficant auwentation of the drag coefficients of large ions in apro tic solvents such as acetonitrile and acetone.
