โœฆ Synopsis

ElectroPS backup power unit certified for US market

I talian-based Electro Power Systems, which manufactures PEM fuel cell systems for backup power, is ready to begin commercial operations in the US, following the award of CSA certification for its Electro6โ„ข system. ElectroPS believes that it is the first European fuel cell company to be awarded certification for the US market.

The CSA Mark is accredited in the US by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). The certification process included a series of tests to evaluate the safety and performance of the Electro6 system under the FC 1 Stationary Fuel Cell Power Systems standard, currently the most comprehensive standard for the certification of stationary fuel cell systems.

Electro Power Systems is already an established player in fuel cell systems for mission-critical backup power applications. The company serves several customers across Europe, and field tests with key telecoms operators in Asia and the Americas are currently in the development phase.
