N-BOC protected ct-hydrazinoketones 4 and N-tris protected ct-aminoketones 6 were synthesized in good overall yields by deprotonation and electrophilic amination of the corresponding ketone-N,N-dimethylhydrazones 2 and subsequent oxidative cleavage of the resulting product hydrazones 3 and 5 by ozonolysis.
