✦ Synopsis
Electron
-nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) spectra are presented for the odd-alternate aromatic hydrocarbon neutral radicals phenalenyl, ['Hs]phenylphenalenyl and for the benzo[c,dJpyrenyl and benz-[d,e]anthracenyl radicals formed by thermal dissociative processes in solution. Proton hyperhe coupling constants were determined from the ENDOR spectra and were shown to give an excellent linear correlation with McLachlan spin densities with Q= -26.5 G.
