Modified coupled van der Pol oscillators have been used to simulate electronically a reaction-diffusion system. An electronically excitable wave front (EEW) moving over a one-dimensional grid, was generated. A fixed width pulse was used to study the influence of amplitude and pulse repetition frequency on circuit behaviour.
