✦ Synopsis
Radical-anions of iodke, bromine, and monoiodochloride are produced in r-irradiated amorphous solids at 77 K, and their electronic and ESR spectra measured. On limited wvming of the irradiated solution dimerizntion by tile reaction 1; 3 12 + 14 occurs to produce the same species ils reported by Fornier de Violet et al. The electronic structure of tile dimeric anion is discussed in comparison with the monomeric znion.
