β¦ Synopsis
According to the topologies of tetrahedral (T, T d and T h) fullerenes, we have calculated the electronic structures of these molecules by means of our proposed method for Hiickel chemistry calculation. According to the number of carbon atoms, the tetrahedral fullerenes are divided into three classes: Class 1 with n = 12N, Class 2 with n = 12N+ 4 and Class 3 with n = 12 N + 8, where n is the number of carbon atoms and N is a non-negative integer determined by group properties. From the calculated results, we have found: the molecules of Class 1 are closed-shell, those of Class 2 are open shell and those of Class 3 are open shell or pseudo-closed shell.

By means of our proposed method for Hi3ckel theory calculation, we have calculated the electronic structures of dihedral (Dsh, D~, D6h, Deal) fullerenes, which are generated from icosahedral C2o, C6o, Cso, C,so, C24o and Cs4 o, respectively. From the calculated results of 1224 fullerene molecules, c
In this article, a new method was proposed to solve the Huckel Hamiltonian of any fullerene with a certain point group as its symmetry. This method was applied to Ε½ 2 . calculate the energy levels of icosahedral fullerenes C I , n s 60 h , 25 G h ) 0 , C . I , n s 20 h , 39 G h ) 0 , and C I, n s 2
