✦ Synopsis


To obtain a picture of the FCC-FeX (X=C, N) austenite solid solution, we compare the hyperfine parameters obtained by Mo¨ssbauer spectroscopy and those obtained by the full-potential linear augmented-plane wave (FLAPW) method. We have focused the study on the magnetic moments, isomer shifts, and hyperfine magnetic fields obtained by FLAPW assuming an Fe 4 X structure to sketch the austenite.
