Bismuth-thallium alloys, of an intermediate f.c.c. phase in the range 6-40 at.?/, Bi and %-2OO"C, have been investigated by several experimental methods. Between about 20 and 30 at.0/6 Bi and below 1OO'C there appears a new hexagonal phase that can be indexed a~ an h.c.p. one witha = 3.52 handc = 5.
