Raman spectra of a series of radical ion dibenzotetrathiafulvalene (DBTTF) salts were measured. A plot of the vibrational frequency (vs) of DBlTF versus the formal charge (p) gives a straight line; p of DBTTF complexes is estimated from the Raman frequency.
