## Abstract We present the results on the effect of adding Ge on the magnetic properties of Ni~2~MnGa~1β__x__~ Gex (0 < __x__ < 0.4) alloys and thin films deposited by flashβevaporation from the powdered alloys. It is found that the annealed alloys are single phase with L2~1~ ordering (cubic lattic
