Theeffect of emf and current generation in the cellAI/AI,O,~lectrolyts-Al in a highenergy radiation field is explained in the light of the p-i-n structure of the oxide layer. Several parameters of the layer are estimated, G,-= 7, interna electric fieId maximum 10' V/cm, density of electronic states 10IBcm-p, stoichiometry deviation 0401 of the monolayer of the adsorbed oxygen ions. Proposed applications of the effect are of both applied and basic character. Resum&L'effet de f.e.m. et de production de courant dans la cellule Al/Alp08-&ctrolyte+%l dans un champ de radiation de grande energie, est explique a la lumiere de la structure n-i-p de la couche d'oxyde. On Bvalue plusieurs paramctres de la couche : lo6 V/cm, densite des etats Bectroniques lOla cm-G,-= 7, champ &ctrique interne maximum a, deviation stoechiometrique 0,001 de la couche monomoleculaire des ions oxygene adsorb&s. Les applications que l'on envisage d'un tel effet ont un caractere conjointement pratique et fondamental.
