The 40 Gbitrs TDM transmission configurattions of the amplifier span in some references are analyzed. The reasons that good system performance cannot be obtained are explained. Some methods to impro¨e the performance of 40 Gbitrs TDM are presented. The 800 km transmission distance is increased by th
