The bridged dimer of molybdenum(V), M0204~' (as) is oxidized to Mo(V1) by carboxylatobound chromium(V). Reaction of bis(che1ated) Cr(V) with excess (MoV)2 yields a chelated Cr(II1) complex, but this conversion proceeds through a pink Cr(IV) intermediate, indicating that the oxidation of (MoV)2 entai
