The ESR spectra of trtplet state phenazme and per-deuteropherazme m mixed crystals of diphenyl are analyzed. The lrfetimes, prmclpal values of the g tensor, zero fiela energies and spm densities of the excited state are reported.

Using n stretched polyvinyl alcohol f&n as a host, electron soin resonance of phosphorescent trip!et states of s%ed aromatic compounds has been studied. Since the guest mole&s have a tendency to orient biaxially, the determination of the fine structure tensor is rather straightfonvud. The advantage
EPR studies of the lowest triplet state of anthracene in a phenazine host crystal reveal a non-Boltzmann distribution over the triplet spin levels at zl.5OK. Measurements of the lifetimes for each of the triplet spin states provide information about both intramolecular decny processes and intermolec
