✦ Synopsis

CrO~-radicals are produced by X-rays in (NH4) 3 H(SeO4)2 crystals doped with (NH4) 2 CrO4. The unpaired electron of CrO 3-center is located in the 3d orbital of the Cr 5+ ion. This paramagnetic center was used for monitoring by EPR the high temperature superionic phase transition of the crystal. We found it to be less sensitive to the structural changes.
