✦ Synopsis

Microscopic nuclear models that have proven adequate for the understanding of transitions in '+'Ca, 'iv and '*Cr are used to generate elastic and inelastic electron scatter-, ing cross sections. The comparison to the data shows for the collective octupole transition in 40Ca and for the elastic and quadrupole inelastic scattering from 52Cr that the models provide too compact a charge or transition charge distribution. The microscopic model for 'iv, however, provides predictions in excellent agreement with the observations.
