Abstract

Electron‐quasiparticle interaction in single crystal van Heusler ferromagnetic alloy Cu~2~MnAl (T~C~ = 630 K) has been studied. The temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity ρ (T ) shows normal metallic behaviour with a shoulder at T ≈ 10 K. Point‐contact measurements were carried out at the temperature 4.2 K and in magnetic fields up to 1 T. d ^2^V/dI ^2^ (eV ) dependences in spectroscopic regime show the characteristic energies of the electron‐quasiparticle interaction in Cu~2~MnAl. Moreover, an asymmetric behaviour of dV/dI (eV ) has been detected. The observed behaviour is probably due to partial spin polarisation at the Fermi energy or thermopower effect.
