Abstract

Cellular precipitation in Fe/Zn system was studied by electron microscope methods.

Experimental results, obtained by Speich, Predel and Frebel and the present authors were used to test equation (3) of Cahn's theory.

The value of the specific surface energy Οƒ of the Γ‐ferrite interface was determined to be about 2960 erg. cm^βˆ’2^.

## Abstract Transmission electron microscopy and electron diffraction have been used to investigate ZnO crystals microstructure and to study structural phase transformation. The results indicate that a one‐to‐one correspondence between lattice defects and phase transformation in ZnO crystals exist.
