✦ Synopsis
Electron-irradiation-induced phase transformations in supercooled liquid, amorphous and crystalline phases were investigated in Zr 66.7 Cu 33.3 (numbers indicate at.%) metallic glass. The supercooled liquid and amorphous phases were unstable under electron irradiation at and above 552 K: C11 b -Zr 2 Cu crystalline phase was formed through electron irradiation induced crystallization. Electron-irradiation-induced crystal-to-supercooled liquid transition and crystal-to-amorphous transition in C11 b -Zr 2 Cu crystalline phase did not occur at and above 552 K. Phase selection in electron irradiation induced crystallization was sensitive to the phase stability of crystalline phases against electron irradiation.
