✦ Synopsis


Methyl radicals (CH,) were produced by photodissociation of CH,OH with ArF excimer laser photons at 193 nm. Electronimpact ioniration cross sections of CH3 wrre measured at electron energirs from ionization threshold (9.X4 eV) to 14 eV. The electron-impact ionization cross sections for dissociation ofCH,DH into various fragment ions at 100 eV are also reported in this paper.
