✦ Synopsis
We study the behaviour of the conductance of electrons from finite ordered systems to disordered ones. Strength disorder coupled with the existence of electronic energy relaxation allow us to develop a procedure for increasing the conductance through long linear chains. Our model, which retains some of the basic features of a polypeptide chain, shows the ability of long chains for conveying nanoamp currents. We apply these results for explaining some of the features of SfM measurements on bare biological samples.
