β¦ Synopsis
Superconductive thin-film antennas are proposed, which consist of a meander-line radiator and a microstrip line electromagnetically coupled together. The radiator operates as a small dipole. The actual gain of an antenna with a Z]38 length radiator, formed on an 8.4 x 23.5 mm area, is -2.1 dBi at 950 MHz and 80 I~L This value is 14.6 dB higher than that ofa Cu antenna at 80 K. These results indicate that this type of superconductive antenna realizes a high efficiency.
