β¦ Synopsis
Numerical simulations have been performed to analyze the electric current density in an aqueous solution of CuSO,, flowing in a two-dimensional channel with finite electrodes placed symmetrically on opposite sides. A Butler-Volmer law is chosen as a boundary condition on the electrodes for current densities below the limiting current. At limiting current density, two modified boundary conditions at the cathode are derived. For 0 Q Pe C 25000, comparisons are made with results of other studies, and the agreement is excellent for large values of Pe but differ for Pe 5 I. For small values of the aDDlied voltage and large values of Pe. a semi-analvtic solution of the electric potential is derived. Copyright 0 1996?ublishedby Elsevier Science Ltd _ a

This paper describes application and testing of a two-dimensional numerical Β―ow model in a multi-thread reach of a proglacial stream. The model solves the depth-averaged form of the NavierΒ±Stokes equations for open channel Β―ow, incorporating a two-equation turbulence closure, an analytical correctio
