Abstract

The separation of a hydrophobic mixture of diterpenoid alkaloids from Aconitum sinomontanum Nakai was studied using various modes of electrokinetic chromatography (EKC), such as SDS micellar EKC, methanol or N,N‐dimethylformamide modified micellar EKC, β‐cyclodextrin modified micellar EKC, mixed micellar EKC with SDS and PEG 400 monolaurate, and microemulsion EKC with SDS, n‐octane and n‐butanol. Mixed micellar EKC was found to be the most preferred approach.
