The photocatalytic activity of CuInS, and CuIn,S,, prepared by chemical precipitation, for the hydrogen evolution from aqueous sulfite solution was investigated. The photocatalytic activity of CuIn,S, was about twice that of CuInS, and was improved remarkably by the addition of silver sulfide.
