Ultrathin layers of aromatic polyoxadiazoles by using the Langmuir-Blodgett technique are prepared for the first time. The syntheses and characterization of new soluble aromatic poly( 1,3,4-oxadiazole)s are described. The polyoxadiazoles contain tetraphenyl silane units in the main chain or pendent
