โฆ Synopsis
The thin fdm electrochemistry and electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) of the title compound were obtained on Pt electrodes (CH3CN/0.1 M tetrabutylammonium fluoroborate). Orange luminescence (~ m~ = 622 nm) was obtained by pulsing the potentials between + 0.40 and -2.35 V versus Fc/Fc + as well as by oxidizing the system in the presence of TPAH (TPAH = trin-propylamine), which generates the strongly reducing intermediate TPA', and by reducing the system in the presence of $2 02-, which produces the strongly oxidizing intermediate SO~-".
