Polypyrrole (PPy) deposited on a glass fibre separator was synthesized at room temperature by the vapour phase polymerization of pyrrole using FeC13 as an oxidant. The mechanism postulated for the oxidation reaction is based on inner-shell electron transfer. Lithium perchlorate dissolved in propylen
