✦ Synopsis


A superconducting LazCuO4.6(Tcoff-set :44K) has been prepared by electrochemical oxidation method, allowing the oxygen intercalation into the Laz0z layers.

From the XPS study, it is found that the binding energy of La3dsl2 electron is significantly shifted from 834.3eV (La2Cu04) to f133.6eV (LazCu04.6) implying the decreased covalency in (La-0) bond.
