✦ Synopsis

Polyvinylpiridinium hydrobromide perbromide (PVPBP) films have been formed onto Pt electrodes by oxidation of Br-in either aqueous or propylene carbonate solutions containing 4vinylpyridine. It is shown that the Br2 /Br-redox couple is stored in the deposited films which, in their oxidized form. behave as electronic conductors. Charge capacity, slightly affected by pH variations in the range 1-7, drops in the presence of ZnZ* ions.

## Abstract **Summary:** Optically active poly[(__R__)‐ or (__S__)‐1,4‐bis(2‐(3′,4′‐ethylenedioxy)thienyl)‐2‐benzoic acid 1‐methylheptyl ester] was prepared by an electrochemical technique and characterized by circular dichroism measurements. It was found that the optical activity and optical rotat
