The composition of the passive layer on aluminium and reformation of this layer during cathodic polarization were investigated by radiotracer and electrochemical methods in the presence of sulphate and chloride ions. Chloride ion is not ab-or adsorbed on the passive layer but, attacks this layer as

✦ Synopsis
Abstrafl--Hydrogen evolution and aluminium electrodissolution processes were investigated by cu and wulometric methods on Al electrode at the cathodic end of the polarization curve. The proton or water is reduced at the passive layer with a diffusion controlled rate. The water wntent of the passive layer on Al was intestigated by a radiotracer technique using tritium labelled water. The water content of passive layers formed by different processes is diierent. By short-term sorption experiments an oxide layer reformation process was detected; a new (EPDP) model was proposed for the formation of the passive layer on aluminium and indicated by the variation of the pitting potential and the aluminium wntent of solution.

## Abstract Recently, more and more attention has been put on the research of taking advantages of a fiber sensor on corrosion monitoring, because of its small volume, low weight, quick response, and excellent electromagnetism disturbing resistance etc. But a report about the application of fiber o
