✦ Synopsis

Electrochemical oxidations of carbinols mediated by the 2,2,5,5-tetramethyl-3-pyrrolin-1-oxyl, uia its nitrosonium ion, have been investigated. Studies have been carried out with the mediator either in solution or deposited in a film form at the surface of an electrode by electropolymecization of a monomec containing pyrrole groups covalently bonded to the nitroxyl moiety.
