✦ Synopsis
Ahatrac&-The electrochemical charge transfer behaviour on excimer-laser deposited epitaxial YBa,Cu,O,_l high-temperature-superconductors (HTSC) in contact with acetonitrile + 0.1 M TBAP electrolyte solutions has been studied at T = 298 K by means of cyclic voltammetry for different redox reactions in comparison to polycrystalline sintered HTSC and Pt electrodes. Cathodic photocurrents were observed at the laser deposited thin films indicating a p-type conductivity and the formation of a Schottky barrier. From impedance measurements the concentration of acceptor states, N. = 1.6 x l@'cm-', and the flat band potential, E,, = 0.65 V us Ag/AgCl, were determined. The observed low redox activity of the epitaxial thin tim electrodes can be attributed to the formation of the Schottky barrier and indicates a high electrochemical stability in non-aqueous solutions of the film.
