✦ Synopsis
The thermodynamic properties ⌬ G T , ⌬ H T , and ⌬ S T of the low-digenite, high-digenite,
and anilite phases in equilibrium with CuS were determined as a function of temperature Ž . from e.m.f. measurements carried out with a solid galvanic cell: Cu N Cu I solid ionic <Ä Ž . 4 conductor Cu BiS q CuS q Anilite digenite Two transition temperatures were found at 3 3 Ts352 K and T s 312 K. The first one corresponds to the low digenite᎐high digenite transition, and the second one to the anilite᎐low digenite transformation. The entropy of the transition from stable low digenite to high digenite was also calculated as ⌬ S T s trs m . y1 . y1 Ž . 11.53 J K mol .
