A calcia doped zirconia solid oxide electrolyte galvanic cell was investigated in the temperature range of 700-950ยฐC to directly and more accurately measure the standard Gibbs free energy change of the following reactions:

The results obtained in the present investigation are well within the scatter band of the calorimetric and spectroscopic data.
