✦ Synopsis

The electrochemical polymerization of 5-amino-l,lO-phenanthroline cobalt complex with l,vinyl-imidazole has been performed in acetonitrile solution and the obtained copolymer showed a welldefined electroactivity for the Co(III)/Co(II) and Co(II)/Co(I) redox processes probably due to a favorable local arrangement around the cobalt sites induced by the presence of the imidazole groups.
