✦ Synopsis
Al&m&-Ferrocentdeoxycholic
acid complex is a layer-structure inclusion compound. The layers consist of deoxycholic acid molecules, which are linked with hydrogen bonding network. Ferrocene molecules are sandwiched between the layers. Electrochemical behavior of the ferrocene in the complex was investigated by cyclic voltammetry for the complex-acetylene black composite electrode in 0.1 moldmm3 KC1 aqueous solution. The ferrocene was redox active and showed an anodic peak at 0.39V and two cathodic peaks at 0.28 V and 0.2OV vs. see. Cycling capacity studies of the complex electrode applied to positive material of zinc-iodine secondary battery showed the capacity of 0.6-0.8 Ah kg-' (per kg of the complex) and over 95% of coulombic efficiency.
