✦ Synopsis
An electrochemical study on copper-nickel alloys commonly used as condenser and heat exchanger materials in Kuwait's marine environment has been conducted in sulfide polluted seawater. The aim of the study was to determine the corrosion behavior of 90 Cu-10 Ni and 70 Cu-30 Ni alloys in natural seawater with and without sulfide at moderate temperatures. The corrosion tests were performed over a range of temperature, 2%70°C. The corrosion current of the alloys under various conditions was determined by the linear polarization method.
