β¦ Synopsis
The effect of Fe, Ni and Co ions on corrosion electrochemical behaviour of lead anodes in sulphate solutions has been studied. Reduction of oxygen evolution overpotential is accompanied by a decrease of lead dioxide fotmation and destruction rates. From resulting data a suggestion about effect of oxygen containing particles chemisorbed on electrode on anodic processes mentioned above was made.

A theoretical approach has been made to charge transfer processes in a slurry cell with catalyst particles. The processes are described with an equivalent electric circuit. Calculations have been made of the potential of the catalyst as a function of the rate of the different charge transfer process
