This course of lectures is a comprehensive lecture notes on the course “Electricity and
Magnetism”, taught in English at the Department of Physics and Technology of Al-Farabi
Kazakh National University for more than a decade.
It is intended for second year students of special groups of universities, majoring in the
specialties of “Physics”, “Nuclear Physics” and “Technical Physics”.
The authors are grateful to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of
Kazakhstan for the support of one of them (A.E. Davletov) rendered by granting the title of
