Electrical resistivity of nonsuperconducting La4BaCu5O13 and La5SrCu6O15-based compounds down to the mK temperature range

✦ Synopsis
We have measured the electrical resistivity of La4BaCu.5013 and LasSrCu6015-based compounds down to 39ink and 16mK, respectively, without observing superconductivity. When the resistivity p -p0 was proportional to T ~ . the exponent ~ ranged from 1.18 to 1.83 for these compounds, where p0 is residual resistivity and T is temperature. It was ascertained trom our measurements down to tim mK raalge that these compounds were not superconducting because of a three-dimensional network of CuOs units.
