β¦ Synopsis
The electrical properties of fhin films of bisphthalocyanine complexes of lutetium (Pc*Lu) and thulium (Pc*Tm) and of mixed phthalo-naphthalocyanine of lutetium (NPcPcLu) are determined as a function of the voltage and temperature. The chemical mechanisms associated with charge transport are explicated. PqLu and NPcPcLu are intrinsic semiconductors whose activation energy is directly correlated to the electrochemical properties of the molecular unit in solution. Pc,Tm thin film contains traps approximately 0.17 eV above the valence level.
