The gadolinium orthochromate GdCrO 3 exhibits negative magnetization when magnetization+temperature curves are measured in a 5eld-cooled mode with low applied 5elds (<&500 Oe). This compound shows canted-antiferromagnetic order of Cr 3ุ moments with a Neel temperature (T N ) of &170 K. With cooling
