โฆ Synopsis
The radiations of Ptlg7 have been examined with coincident spectrometers of NaI-TI and anthracene.
Gamma rays have been detected at 77, 191, and 279 Kev, the unconverted quantum radiations having relative intensities of 30, 3.9, and 1.0. Coincidence measurements revealed the presence of three beta spectra of maximum energies 670, 479, and 468 Kev, terminating at levels in AtrIg at 77, 268, and 279 Kev which are also excited (1,~) in the decay of Hg'97 and by coulomb excitation (3).
These beta spectra have intensities in order of decreasing end-point energy of 90.6, 8.4, and 1.0 per cent. These estimates are based upon the observed gamma-ray intensities and upon previously determined conversion coefficients, experimental (1 ,z) and theoretical (4). In the same order, values of log ft are 6.4, 6.88, and 7.8. ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY INDUCED IN MgO CRYSTALS BY 1.3 MEV ELECTRON BOMBARDMENT * 1
